The Examination Department at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) is a cornerstone of the university’s academic framework, dedicated to ensuring a transparent, efficient, and student-centric evaluation system.

The department is responsible for the end-to-end management of all examination-related activities, including planning and conducting end-semester examinations, practical exams, viva voce, and publishing timetables, notifications. A key focus area of SSPU is its skill-based education, and accordingly, the SSPU places strong emphasis on conducting skill examinations, practical assessments, and industry-oriented evaluations that measure students’ hands-on competencies and real-world application of knowledge. These assessments are often carried out with the involvement of external experts to ensure objectivity and alignment with industry standards.

SSPU also oversees the secure Fair evaluation of answer scripts, timely declaration of results, and efficient handling of student services such as transcripts, verification, and grievance redressal. With a strong emphasis on accuracy, integrity, and timelines, exam department leverages a robust ERP system to streamline processes It Includes as exam form submission, marks entry, and result processing. Authorization for Collection of Academic Documents

Collection of Documents through an Authorized Representative

Students are encouraged to collect their academic documents (such as Degree Certificate, Transcript, Grade Sheet, Provisional Degree Certificate, and other certificates related to Examination Department) personally from the Examination Department.

In exceptional circumstances, where a student is unable to collect the documents in person, the University may permit collection through an authorized representative, subject to prior approval and submission of the required documents.

Procedure

  • The student shall submit a duly signed Letter of Authorization (LOA) addressed to the Controller of Examinations, clearly stating the reason for authorizing another person to collect the documents.
  • The LOA must contain complete details of the authorized representative, including:
    • Full Name
    • Relationship with the Student
    • Postal Address
    • Mobile Number
    • Email ID
    • Aadhaar Number (or PAN Card / Driving Licence / Passport, if Aadhaar is not available)
  • The student shall attach:
    • Self-attested copy of the student's valid Photo Identity Proof.
    • Self-attested copy of the authorized representative's valid Photo Identity Proof.
  • The authorized representative must produce the original Photo Identity Proof at the time of document collection for verification.
  • Students who are unable to submit a physical request may send the signed Letter of Authorization through their registered personal email ID to examhelpdesk@sspu.ac.in.
  • All authorization requests shall be processed only after approval by the Office of the Controller of Examinations. Wherever required, the concerned School/Department may also be consulted before approval.

Important Instructions

  • Authorization requests will be considered only in genuine and exceptional circumstances.
  • Incomplete applications or applications without the required supporting documents will not be processed.
  • The University reserves the right to seek additional information or reject any authorization request if deemed necessary.
  • The University shall not be responsible for any loss, misuse, damage, impersonation, or unauthorized handling of documents after they have been handed over to the authorized representative.
  • Students are advised to keep their respective School/Department informed regarding such requests.
