General Examination Queries

Students can view and download the examination timetable from the Student ERP Portal and the Examination Section of the University website.

The examination timetable is generally published at least 7 days before the commencement of examinations.

All examination-related notifications, circulars and announcements are published on:

  • Student ERP Portal
  • SSPU Website – Examination Section

Students must submit the online examination form through the ERP Portal within the prescribed dates after payment of the examination fees.

Immediately contact your School Examination Coordinator or the Examination Department for correction before the last date of form submission.

Hall Ticket & Examination Day Guidelines

Hall Tickets collected through the respective School after successful submission of the examination form and payment of fees.

Students must carry:

  • Hall Ticket
  • Valid University Identity Card
  • Required stationery
  • Transparent water bottle, pouch and writing pad (if required)

Students should report at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

Students arriving within the permissible time as per university rules may be allowed to enter. No extra time shall be granted.

The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Mobile Phones
  • Smart Watches
  • Any Electronic Gadgets
  • Bluetooth Devices
  • Books
  • Notes
  • Any unauthorized material

Continuous Assessment (CA)

Continuous Assessment is the internal evaluation conducted throughout the semester.

It comprises:

  • Continuous Assessment Theory (CAT)
  • Continuous Assessment Practical (CAP)
  • Continuous Assessment Skill (CAS)

CAT consists of three assessments conducted during the semester.

Suggested assessment methods include:

  • Written Test
  • MCQ
  • Quiz
  • Case Study
  • Open Book Test
  • Surprise Test
  • Industry Scenario
  • Problem Solving
  • Etc.(not limited to above)

CAP evaluates practical competency through:

  • Laboratory Performance
  • Practical Journal
  • Viva-Voce
  • Faculty Observation
  • Practical Activities
  • Etc.(not limited to above)

CAS evaluates employability and professional skills through:

  • Skill Demonstration
  • Industry Tasks
  • Simulation
  • Portfolio
  • Project
  • Skill Journal
  • Presentation
  • Viva
  • Team Work
  • Communication Skills
  • Etc.(not limited to above)

Yes. Submission of Practical Journal and Skill Journal is mandatory wherever applicable.

Failure to submit the journals may result in deduction of marks or ineligibility as per University rules.

Students must obtain: 40% in CA for B.Arch. Programme – 45% in CA

End Semester Examination

The End Semester Examination consists of:

  • End Semester Theory (EST)
  • End Semester Practical (ESP)
  • End Semester Skill (ESS)

Final written examination conducted by the University.

Final Practical Examination conducted under the supervision of the Examination Department by Internal and External Examiners.

Final Skill Assessment conducted through:

  • Skill Demonstration
  • Project
  • Industry Assessment
  • Viva
  • Portfolio
  • Etc.(not limited to above)

Students must pass individually in: 40% -EST, ESP, ESS and CA

Practical & Skill Examination

yes. Attendance and completion of prescribed practical work are mandatory.

Yes. Skill Assessment forms an integral component of the curriculum.

You must appear in the subsequent backlog examination as notified by the University.

Viva-Voce is conducted by Internal and/or External Examiners depending upon the scheme of examination.

Passing Rules

Students must:

  • Pass Continuous Assessment
  • Pass EST
  • Pass ESP
  • Pass ESS
  • Secure minimum overall passing marks as prescribed by the University.

No. Passing each Head of Passing separately is mandatory(EST,ESP,ESS and CA ).

Students must satisfy the minimum attendance requirement prescribed by the University.

Backlog & ATKT

A Backlog Examination is conducted for students who fail to clear one or more External subjects (Theory/Practical/Skill) examinations.

As notified in the Academic Calendar.

Yes. The University may conduct an Additional Backlog Examination as per university policy at the end of academic year.

A student may be declared Year Down if:

  • Promotion criteria are not fulfilled.
  • Minimum credits are not earned.
  • Internship requirements are not completed.
  • Continuous Assessment not cleared.

H. Results & Revaluation

Results are declared within the stipulated timeline and published on the ERP Portal.

Immediately contact the Examination Department with supporting documents.

Yes. Students may apply for a photocopy of the End Semester Theory answer script within the prescribed timeline. Before issuing the photocopy, the Examination Department will carry out Verification, which includes:

  • Marks totaling
  • Verification of award sheet entries
  • Verification of data entry/marks entered in the ERP

After successful verification, the photocopy of the evaluated answer script will be issued. If required, the student may then apply for Revaluation as per the University's rules

Revaluation is the reassessment of the answer script by another examiner.

No. Students must first obtain the photocopy of the answer script before applying for Revaluation.

Transcripts & Certificates

Submit the prescribed application form, upload the required documents, and pay the applicable fees through student portal /University website.

Yes. Upon request, transcripts may be sent directly to authorized Universities, Institutions, or Employers.

Submit the prescribed application along with the required documents and fees through the University process through student portal /University website.

Organizations may submit a verification request to the Examination Department with the prescribed fees through university website.

Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)

Yes. Students must create and maintain an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID as per UGC guidelines.

Students may raise grievances regarding:
