It enables students to digitally store, manage, transfer, and redeem academic credits earned from recognized Higher Education Institutions across India. The ABC system is integrated with DigiLocker and facilitates secure digital access to academic records.
Yes. As per the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, Government of India, students are advised to create an ABC ID. It is essential for maintaining academic credits digitally, facilitating credit transfer, and supporting the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students should follow the latest instructions issued by the University regarding ABC registration.
You can create your ABC ID by following these steps:
- Visit DigiLocker and log in using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Navigate to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) section.
- Complete the required verification process.
- Your unique ABC ID will be generated.
- Share your ABC ID with the University whenever requested for credit mapping.
Students are advised to ensure that their Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and Aadhaar details match the University records before generating the ABC ID.
Certain details in the ABC account can be updated through DigiLocker or the relevant Government portal, subject to the applicable guidelines. If there is any mismatch between your ABC details and the University's records, you should first update the correct information in the concerned records and then inform the Examination Department for necessary verification and credit mapping.
After your academic credits are uploaded and mapped by the University, you can view them by:
- Logging in to your ABC Account through DigiLocker.
- Accessing the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) dashboard.
- Viewing your accumulated academic credits and academic records.
The availability of credits depends on successful submission and verification by the University.
If you notice any discrepancy in your ABC details or academic credits, you should immediately contact the Office of the Controller of Examinations with the following information:
- PRN / Enrollment Number
- Student Name
- Programme and School
- ABC ID
- Description of the issue
- Supporting documents (if applicable)
The Examination Department will verify the records and coordinate with the concerned authorities for necessary corrections, wherever applicable.
