Apart from the regular academic activities Anjaneya Turai, a Student of PGD Data Science & AI has also carried out extensive research and published book Chapter “Use of Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacovigilance for Social Networking sites in Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Global Epidemics.
- Out of around 300 team of School of Data Science is in top 80 after Task 1of e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is a unique annual competition launched in the month of August every year for undergraduate students in science and engineering colleges, polytechnic. Selected teams are given a robotic kit complete with accessories and video tutorials to help them learn basic concepts in embedded systems and microcontroller programming.
Problem statement: To build a drone to deliver various packages to their destinations, optimizing for time and quantity.

Anjaneya Turai a 1st Year Student has successfully completed a workshop on the topic “Artificial Intelligence” organized by IIT Bombay. He has also successfully completed the exam on “Fundamentals of Digital Marketing.
Winner of Smart India Hackathon

The Students from B.Sc. Data Science participated in Smart India Hackathon 2020 (Software Edition) which took place on online mode from 1st to 3rd August 2020. Smart India Hackathon 2020 is a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. In SIH 2020, the students had the opportunity to work on challenges faced within various Ministries, Departments, Industries, PSUs, and NGOs to create world-class solutions for some of the top organizations including industries in the world, thus helping the Private sector hire the best minds from across the nation.
The winning team “Tyche” comprising of 4 students from B.Sc. Data Science, Yash Pathak, Ghritika Pardeshi, Sahil Pansare, and Manasvi Patil, and two students from B.Tech Mechatronics under the mentorship of Dr. Ruby Jain and Dr. Satish Chinchorkar have bagged the first prize of 1,00,000 for the problem statement given by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas.
Winner of Zeal Covid-19 Hackathon
The Students from B.Sc Data Science, Suryaji Raje Bhosale, Yutika Rege, and Anuradha Shukla under the mentorship of Dr.Bandana Mahapatra also participated in the Zeal Covid-19 Hackathon where they tried to solve the issues related to supply chain management through technology during the phase of nationwide lockdown. There topic “Supply Chain Optimization for last-mile delivery for small and big retailer via using unmanned aerial vehicle”, was presented on 6th June 2020, on online mode which made the win the first prize under the management track with a cash award of R.s. 15,000.
