Director, School of Interdisciplinary scienceThe School of Interdisciplinary Science was founded with the objective to create a platform for promoting skills across different disciplines at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University. It is envisioned that the school with its multi-disciplinary nature will not only accelerate its growth but would also enable it to engage with professionals, students, and faculty across disciplines, industries, and organizations. It is expected that over a period of time, the School would be able to “seed” a number of interdisciplinary programs that are the future skills. By breaking down departmental barriers, interdisciplinary research facilitates novel breakthroughs that may not be possible within the confines of a particular discipline.
