It gives me great pleasure to welcome aspiring students to the BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme offered by the School of Ports and Terminal Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. In today’s highly interconnected and competitive global environment, efficient logistics and supply chain systems play a pivotal role in business success, trade facilitation, and economic growth.

This programme is designed to provide students with a strong conceptual foundation along with practical exposure to key functional areas such as logistics operations, transportation management, warehousing, procurement, inventory control, supply chain analytics, and digital supply chain practices. Through a balanced blend of classroom learning, case-based discussions, industry interactions, internships, field visits, and skill-based training, students are equipped to understand real-world supply chain operations and contemporary industry requirements.

I am pleased to inform you that from this academic year onwards, the BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme is also offered as a BBA Honours (Four-Year) programme. The Honours structure provides greater academic depth through advanced electives, research orientation, multidisciplinary learning, and enhanced industry engagement. It enables students to develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, while also offering a solid foundation for higher studies, professional certifications, and entrepreneurial pursuits.

The rapid growth of sectors such as e-commerce, organised warehousing, ports and maritime logistics, multimodal transportation, and technology-enabled supply chains has created diverse career opportunities for undergraduate graduates. Our programme prepares students for entry-level managerial and supervisory roles, as well as for entrepreneurship in emerging areas such as last-mile delivery, logistics services, warehousing operations, and supply chain support services.
