Academic Experience

EDr Harish Kumar Agre is a distinguished environmental expert and academic leader, recognized for his sustained contributions to environmental education, research, and sustainability-driven practice. With a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Osmania University, Hyderabad, he has developed deep domain expertise through his doctoral research on the impact of paper mill effluents on soil and water quality in the Sirpur–Kaghaznagar region of Telangana. His strong academic foundation is further reinforced by a Master’s degree in Environmental Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. His work focuses on wastewater treatment, environmental impact assessment, pollution studies, clean water and sanitation aligned with Sustainable Development Goals, Air pollution control and mitigation in urban and peri-urban areas, and broader environmental sustainability initiatives. Dr Agre continues to influence learners, institutions, and communities, contributing meaningfully to environmentally responsible and resilient futures.

Research Details

Dr Harish Kumar Agre is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive research expertise in hydrochemistry, groundwater quality assessment, industrial pollution studies, and sustainable water resource management. His research is strongly application-oriented, focusing on region-specific environmental challenges while offering insights with wider relevance to environmental policy, public health, and sustainable development. A key thrust of his work lies in the assessment, conservation, and protection of water and soil resources in industrial and semi-urban regions of India, particularly across the Deccan Volcanic Province (DVP) and the state of Telangana. He has published more than ten research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals, reflecting sustained scholarly contributions to environmental science. In addition to research publications, he has authored a book titled Water Resource Management & Sustainability, contributing to academic and professional discourse on sustainable water practices. Dr Agre also holds a published patent and has developed e-content and online learning resources in environmental studies, demonstrating his commitment to innovation, digital learning, and knowledge dissemination in the field of environment and sustainability.
