Success Story

Mehak Batta
Author (Joyous Hands and Happy Feet)
When I entered Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), I was not fearless — I was simply willing. Willing to leave my comfort zone. Willing to test my limits. Willing to discover who I could become beyond the version of myself I had always known.
SSPU did not just educate me; it disrupted me. It exposed me to mentors who expanded my thinking, peers who challenged me, and experiences that demanded resilience. I arrived unsure of my capabilities. I left understanding that growth is a decision — one you must keep making, even when it is inconvenient.
One of my proudest milestones was authoring Joyous Hands and Happy Feet, which went on to become an Amazon bestseller. That book was more than a publication — it was proof that my voice had value. Last year, I released a Udemy course designed for corporate professionals, helping them understand the power of presence and personal presentation. I believe how we show up in the world shapes how the world responds to us.
After SSPU, I pursued my Master’s in Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management in Estonia, supported by five scholarships. Moving abroad expanded my worldview and sharpened my independence. It was there that I developed a deep commitment to sustainability — not as a trend, but as responsibility. Today, I continue to work with a sustainability startup, applying that knowledge in real-world systems that aim to create long-term impact.
Simultaneously, I founded Stayeasie — a wellness-first living concept for corporate professionals. What began as an idea is now operational. We provide thoughtfully designed, fully furnished, aesthetically elevated spaces that allow working professionals to focus on their wellbeing and performance. I started this venture while working — not because I had to, but because I believed wellbeing should not be a luxury reserved for later in life.
People often describe me as someone who gets things done. What they don’t see are the difficult decisions, the missteps, the nights of doubt, and the moments I questioned everything. Growth is rarely linear. There were times I wanted to stop. There were times I did stop — briefly. But I always chose to continue.
Emotionally, I am most proud of the transformation between the girl who entered SSPU and the woman building today. They both still exist within me — the uncertain dreamer and the decisive builder.
If a young SSPU student reads this, I want her to feel hopeful and courageous. You do not need absolute clarity to begin. You need conviction. You can step beyond what feels safe. You can build while you learn. You can try — and keep trying.
And perhaps one day, the headline will read: The girl who dared to begin — and refused to stop.
