Scope of Interior Design:

Interior Design is a dynamic field offering exciting career prospects for creative individuals passionate about transforming spaces. It involves a blend of creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities tailored to specific applications. Interior designers work across residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and other sectors to create functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing environments. They increasingly use technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Sustainable design practices and health-oriented design approaches are rising in importance, as are innovative and flexible workspace solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed 10 + 2 (Science, Commerce, or Arts) 
  • Diploma in Interior Design or Arts
  • Obtained 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of reserved categories, EWS & PWD Students belonging to Maharashtra state only) in the qualifying Examination.
  • Lateral entry: Open to candidates with a Govt. approved 10+3 Diploma
  • SSPU Design Entrance Test
  • 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board (AIU equivalence required).
  • S.S.C. + Diploma from recognized board/university.
  • At least 45% marks.
  • Qualifying marks in DAT/SET/CEED or SSPU’s Design Entrance Test. Foreign qualifications must be verified by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). SSPU
Eligibility:
  • SSC + 3-year Diploma in Interior Designing or Architectural Assistantship from/state board approved.
  • HSC + 2-year Diploma in Interior Design approved by state board.
  • Equivalent diplomas with Engineering Drawing compulsory.
  • Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved / EWS / PWD Maharashtra students).
  • Lateral entry subject to minimum 70% course mapping
