Staff and students from Symbiosis Open Education Society (SOES) and its constituents Symbiosis Centre for Distance learning (SCDL), Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) and Symbiosis Centre for Online Learning (SCOL) participated in the Republic Day celebration on a cold winter morning at SSPU campus.
Republic Day celebration at Symbiosis Skills University, there is always something for each one, including the opportunity to listen to chief guests to witness mesmerizing performances by students.
This year Commander Shishir Sahay, an Indian Navy veteran was the chief guest who hoisted the national flag at the university. During his speech, he emphasized focusing on personal excellence. He said to focus merely on personal excellence as it will lead to excellence in the organization one is working in, for institutions, for the nation and for humankind at large. And guided students to have the courage to do self-experiments with the right Scientific temperament.
Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis Skills Universities, shared how credit banking, integration of skills in education, industry experiences, and other parameters of NEP are already taken care in the curriculum of the Symbiosis Skills Universities. She also highlighted how the Symbiosis Skills Universities are bridging the gap between Industry and academia.
Later in the program performances by university and Symbiosis Jr college students mesmerized guests and faculty.
