On the occasion of National Skills Day School of Data Science organised a Quiz Competition.

The quiz contained general questions about what data science is and related terminologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Many students visited, and they were given detailed information about the course and its job orientation through video demos

Workshop on Employability by Mr. Kiran Digrace on 24th March

The Employability Workshop aimed to help students assess their capabilities by engaging in thought provoking questions & discussions. The session focused on preparing students for job interviews & improving their communication skills.

Workshop Format

The session was highly interactive, encouraging students to share their opinions & responses. Mr. Kiran engaged with every student, making the workshop an insightful & engaging experience.

Key Topics Covered The session primarily focused on interview preparation & communication skills. Mr. Kiran demonstrated how companies ask seemingly simple yet tricky questions that become challenging under pressure. He emphasized the importance of interpreting interview questions correctly before responding.

 

Types of Candidates:

  1. Right Candidate – Provides correct answers & possesses strong field knowledge.
  2. Wrong Candidate – May give incorrect answers but is willing to improve.
  3. Unemployable – Gives incorrect answers, believes them to be right, & does not improve.

  • He distributed copies of his book, Industrial Java Programming, to students who provided answers to his questions.
  • One key activity involved a student explaining dictionaries in Python. Mr. Kiran broke down the response line by line, highlighting areas for improvement. • He also demonstrated how interviewers assess candidates based on five simple questions to determine their eligibility. • The speaker was open & clear, addressing students’ queries with detailed explanations.
