Hi, I am Arnold Christopher Dsouza, a student of Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), currently pursuing my B.Tech degree in Mechatronics Engineering and presently studying in the VII semester. It has been a great journey exploring new opportunities and building innovative projects. This university has provided me with valuable experiences and helped me set clear goals for my future.

Talking about the university, one of the most interesting places for me is the “Skill Centre.” It provides access to various advanced equipment such as German training kits, LN systems, PLCs, and other self-learning modules that enhance practical understanding. The university also offers facilities like lathe machines and carpentry stations, enabling us to work hands-on and continuously improve our technical skills.

We receive numerous opportunities to showcase our talents through competitions and technical activities. Industrial visits organized by the university help us understand how industries function in real-world environments and allow us to align our interests with professional career paths. Additionally, the Robo Club serves as an excellent platform for acquiring new technical knowledge and collaborative learning.

The professors use audio-visual teaching methods and are highly supportive and understanding, making learning more effective and engaging. The campus itself is environmentally friendly, surrounded by greenery and fresh air, creating a positive learning atmosphere.

I would like to conclude by saying that it is not just the university that shapes an individual; dedication, hard work, and personal interest play an equally important role in building a better tomorrow.

As a third-year Mechatronics engineering student at the School of Mechatronics, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), Pune, I can confidently say that my journey here has been transformative both academically and personally. Over the past three years, the university has provided me with numerous opportunities that have helped me develop strong technical skills, industry awareness, and overall confidence.

SSPU has also encouraged me to actively participate beyond academics. I have had the opportunity to be involved in several technical and co-curricular activities, including a national-level conference on recent technologies, where I gained exposure to research trends and interacted with experts from academia and industry. Events such as Skillathon and Hackathons allowed me to apply my technical knowledge in competitive environments, enhance teamwork skills, and innovate under time constraints.

Alongside academics and technical events, the university ensures holistic development. Participation in sports activities and the annual cultural gathering, Saksham, helped me maintain a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular interests. These platforms nurtured leadership qualities, communication skills, and a strong sense of community among students.

A major highlight of the School of Mechatronics is its strong industry linkage. The university facilitates valuable internship opportunities that provide hands-on industrial exposure, allowing students to understand real-world manufacturing systems, automation practices, and professional work culture. I feel confident and well-prepared to step into the professional world.

I am so fortunate and proud to get an opportunity of graduating myself from Symbiosis Skills and Professional University which is the first skill-based university in Maharashtra. The reason behind it is the magnificent infrastructure and the friendly as well as very secured environment in the university. I feel so glad to tell that the university offers a great curriculum which is based on 70% of the practical work and just 30% of the theoretical work. So, me being a student of mechatronics engineering, it helps me being more and more practical in my field. The very important thing is that we have been gifted with a very well educated and supportive faculties, who are always ready to help us in the university. The best part which I feel of my university is the placements …. Yes !!The university gives the opportunity to each and every student for the internships in every year which makes us industry ready and quite professional enough in our respective fields. So, yah for me it is like a “dream come true” by acquiring admission in this university. Thank you!!

When I began this journey, I aspired to become an engineer who could design, build, and innovate. Today, as I approach graduation, I feel confident, skilled, and ready to step into the professional world. The mechatronics program at SSPU has provided me with a strong multidisciplinary foundation by seamlessly integrating mechanical engineering, electronics, automation, control systems, and programming. At SYMBIOSIS SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY, in the midst of adroit infrastructure accompanied by highly intellectual, experienced, and supportive faculty members, I have witnessed our skills and competence rising to a zenith. The learner-centric environment crafted here trains us practically at industrial levels along with the academic curriculum and has motivated us to apply our skills through various projects and activities.

SSPU has done a splendid job by inculcating in us the ability to learn and build a strong foundational knowledge. Specifically, the B.Tech in Mechatronics program has allowed me to understand and connect strongly with the automation industry while effectively correlating mechanical and electrical systems.
