Learning is made more fun and experiential in our School in the various labs that facilitate the practical activities in Constructions. Students learn hands-on and understand the concepts thoroughly by participating in the learning process that is conducted by the faculty in the labs.
Concrete Technology Lab
The Concrete Technology laboratory in the Department of Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Management at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University serves a wide spectrum of skill activities i.e. experimental studies and investigation on different construction materials, testing of concrete specimens related to teaching, research, and development. The laboratory is equipped with Electronic Universal Testing Machine (UTM), Digital Compression Testing Machine (CTM), Concrete Workability measuring equipment, Vibrating Table, Concrete Mixer, Cement Testing Equipment, Sieve Shaker, etc.
The Geotechnical Engineering and Geology
The Geotechnical Engineering and Geology laboratory is an integral part of the School of Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Management at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University. The laboratory is equipped to perform all the necessary characterization and behavior of soil with Direct Shear Test Apparatus, Triaxial Test, Consolidation Test, Casagrande Apparatus, Shrinkage Limit apparatus, Digital Oven, Sieve Sets & Shaker, Permeability test, Pycnometer, etc. Also, the laboratory has a variety of minerals and rock specimens to study different types of minerals and rocks and their various identification properties.
Construction & Plumbing Yard
Construction & Plumbing Yard is an integral part of the School of Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Management at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University. The main objective of this yard is to perform various skill & practical activities ad Hands-on training by using various construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Surveying & Construction Engineering Fundamental Lab
The Surveying & Construction Engineering Fundamental Laboratory has a wide variety of surveying equipment such as Total Station, Theodolite, Automatic Level, Dumpy Level, Plain Table, Survey Compass which provides hands-on practice on surveying equipment.
Fluid Mechanics and Water Resource Management Lab
The Fluid Mechanics and Water Resource Laboratory is an integral part of the School of Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Management at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University. It covers the measuring of discharge and pressure of water by using various discharge and pressure measuring devices, analysis & experimental works on the basis of the theory of fluid mechanics & water resource management.
Environmental Engineering Lab
The Environmental Engineering lab in the School of Construction Engineering and Infrastructure Management provides skill-based teaching, testing & research facilities on water and wastewater treatment. It covers Physico- Chemical parameter testing on water and wastewater, calculation & testing on solid waste generated, measuring of Noise level to avoid noise pollution, understanding of MPCB and CPCB environmental norms as per standards.
