- BBA RETAIL AND E-COMMERCE MANAGEMENT offered by Symbiosis Skills and Professional University is a course that develops business acumen and operational expertise in students to manage Retail formats, Brands, Products, Services, Teams, Finance, Marketing, Competition, Customer Relations, Merchandising, Retail Logistics, Retail Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, Online Sales and E-Commerce.
- The course trains the students in Retail Challenges and prepares the students for job opportunities in Retail Operations – both at the front-end and back-end. The on-campus Retail Visual Merchandising Lab set up in association with Shoppers Stop helps students in practical learning. Skill development and practical activities are conducted in the Retail Lab covering topics of Visual Display, Store Façade, Store Layout, Retail Fixture and Furniture, Space Management, Merchandise Planning and Rationalization, Category Management, Brand/Product Management, Management of Floor Activities, Stock Management, Receiving and Issue of Stocks, Inventory Management, Promotion Planning, and Business Analytics.
- The course is focused on Skill-based learning with 70% Practical and 30% Theory component. During the course, the students are assigned tasks to solve Retail problems and analyze case studies, problem statements, participate in group discussions, presentations and recommend solutions to retail challenges. The continuous assessment helps the students in self-evaluation and self-development, mentored by expert faculty with both academic excellence and global retail exposure. The course curriculum is framed with the inputs of experts from the industry to include all current issues in the Retail Industry for the students to gain complete retail knowledge. The industry experts are invited to deliver Guest Lectures and for Panel Discussions for the benefit of our students.
- Market Visits are planned for students to study the Retail formats, Retail trends, Seasonality of products, Store Location, Retail Project requirement, Legal documentation, Franchisee Management, Retail Inventory management, Mall Management, outsourcing of activities, E-retailing, Online and Digital promotions, Internet and social media marketing.
- As an integral part of the 3 years Degree course, the students of BBA Retail and e-Commerce undergo yearly internship at leading Retail and e-Commerce Establishments and gain experience in the corporate environment and learn about the best practices in retailing.

The Retail Visual Merchandising Lab has been set up on-campus with Shoppers Stop. This is the Practical lab where the faculty conduct sessions in Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Category Management, Customer Service, Promotions, and Store layout and design.
Students participate in Role Play, Group Discussion, Case Studies, Professional training, Floorplanning, Presentation, and mini-projects in this Visual Merchandising lab and learn about the current trends and practices in Retail.
