Apart from the students’ placement committee, dedicated faculty members along with the support of the entire faculty fraternity prepares and guides the students for securing placement in the Industry. A highly dedicated effort is made by the entire University’s students and faculty to assist students in getting a good job as well as guiding and helping those students who want to be entrepreneurs. A separate ‘Inter-Disciplinary Science’ including soft skills such as Personal grooming spoken English, body posture, stress management, voice modulation, transaction analysis, presentation skills, etc. are imparted to the students to enable them to compete better with the students of other Universities. We concentrate on the all-round ‘Holistic Development’ of our students in all aspects thereby enabling them to acquire the competency to deliver efficient and effective use of knowledge in practical real-life situations furthering the performance excellence of the students in the organizations they join and add value from the first day to their existing system. BSc. Beauty and Wellness is a course that skills the students to be trained in all aspects of beauty – haircare, skincare, make-overs, spa treatment, entrepreneurship, salon operations, wellness, nutrition, health care, and diet management. This is the Philosophy of Symbiosis School of Architecture, Urban Development and Planning (SSAUDP), which was established in 2017 in order to focus on skill-based education in India. The aim of this department is to bridge the gap between industry and education. With its founding principles of academic excellence, hands-on practices, and research aimed at addressing real-world problems.
Symbiosis Skills & Professional University has collaborated with Enrich Salons & Academy as our knowledge partner who has set up a state-of-the-art  Training Academy on the University campus to provide students a live environment to work, which is as per the standards of CIDESCO specifications and serves a wide spectrum of skill activities. Our Labs gives the students an excellent opportunity to learn and have hands-on experience to launch their careers and convert their passion to a profession.
The International framework of 21st-century skills is divided into three skill sets and twelve components laid out.We Offer beautiful Spa Therapies & holistic Alternative Therapies in our well-equipped labs. My name is Richa Magavi and I am a 3rd year student of Bsc Beauty and Wellness. Ssou is the only course that offers beauty and wellness both together that is Beauty inside out. Bsc. Beauty and wellness is bifurcated into two verticals beauty and wellness, I belong to the beauty vertical.The curriculum focuses more on practical application rather than theory. Our beauty lab is well equipped and we have excellent trained faculty in every subject. This course makes learning more fun by providing internships as a part of curriculum. I’ve been an intern in BUTIC under Mrs. Maya Paranjapaye for two months. This course offers learning in a very creative way which I assure no other college provides. It also has a beautiful infrastructure which is icing on top & I’ve tons of memories here. I’m looking forward to learn more here & pursue CIDESCO. My dream is to open RICHA’S MEDI SPA and i see it coming.

What is your program's duration?

B.Sc. (Data Science) – 3 Year Program. However, after each year there is an internship module of 8 credits. The detail of internship is as under

What courses can I use to meet the program's prerequisites?

It could be better if you come with a basic background of below mentioned subjects/Domains.

Computer Programming:

  • Problem solving, analysis and design of small-scale computational systems, and implementation using a procedural programming language.
  • Python is the language most utilized in our program, however students are able to apply with backgrounds in other languages.

Statistics:

  • Parameter estimation, introduction to the collection of data, elements of probabilistic modelling, basic probability computation techniques, discrete and continuous random variables and distributions, expectation and variance, central limit theorem, single-parameter confidence interval estimation, and exposure to any statistical software package.

Calculus or Linear Algebra:

  • Calculus: single variable calculus, limits, derivatives and integrals of algebraic exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions play a central role, applications of differentiation, and fundamental theorem of calculus.

Linear Algebra: systems of linear equations, matrix algebra, linear transformations, and determinants.

Does M.Sc. (Data Science) have thesis component.

Yes, In the final year (4th semester) a thesis must be submitted along with one research paper published in web of science/Scopus indexed journal/conference.
