My son is in 3rd year of B.Arch. course from the university and had done 2 internships and various site visits, national and international study tours provided from the university which had increased students’ knowledge and skills in the field they are interested in.
Akhtar AliSSPU is an institution where teaching goes hand in hand with the industry. It is an institute which works tirelessly to bridge the gap between the students and the Industry to give an outcome where the student is industry-ready. Another striking feature of SSPU is the in-house studios, be it plumbing, AC, bricklaying area, mechanical workshops where even an architecture student can peep in to quench his thirst for knowledge. The campus is very ethnic with beautiful Colonial buildings which always attracts a passer-by on the adjacent expressway. This is an institution where only a lucky few can go and experience the ambiance and the beautifully landscaped spaces along with the able staff who are student-friendly and strive to give their best to bring out the best in the students. Symbiosis is like a household name to us, as I am an alumnus of Symbiosis Educational Institutions. Regarding the Program, Teaching methodology, Student-Mentor Connect, Interactions with Parents, Education Tours, Guest Lectures, very recently Digital Medium of Transfer of learning, the list is endless which are of high standards and give a good comfort level to us. What transpires at the campus is like an open book, we get complete visibility – to the extent required. Micro-management is not required as our wards are University undergraduates and faculty are thorough Professionals. The faculty shows high levels of empathy while dealing with students and leave no scope for biases. They show the big picture and help the students understand the importance of maintaining high standards in every act they do. Course and curriculum are appropriate, and a given, in addition, I feel the School also imparts good levels of soft-skill awareness among the students. The facilities within the campus like Library, Labs, Classrooms, Auditorium, and play area are outstanding. In addition, since my ward is also a hosteller, the facility is within the campus and helps students with better time management. I regard the name ‘Symbiosis’ is synonyms to ‘Education’. Even during COVID-19 all the students were kept engaged through Online classes and continuous learning – we were all happy that our academics did not stop. To make up for the ‘cut-short’ of the internship period, the University also gave assignments to add to our internship, which gave a better understanding of the subject.
